I, Mantasha Saeed, the School captain of St. Teresa's Day
School & College, Lucknow for the session 2019-2020,
aim to pass on the incredible values, lessons and
experiences that this school has showered on me. I want
to foster a space where students are empowered, united
and unafraid to find out and do what they love.
I have faint memories of my first at St. Teresa's Day
School. The initial days were of course a little challenging
but soon I found my own space in the school, the space
which was only mine.
Today on being asked as to what I love the most about the
school, I want to say... I love the walls, the soft board of
my class, the fans which keep me just cool in the midst of
summer; Yes I love every little leaf that grows in my
school premises I love it all.
I owe all this and much more to our Principal Mr. Peter
Fanthome (Jr.) whose guidance in all our activities
ensures us to do the right thing in the right way. Further I
am completely indebted to my teachers for making me
what I am today. Growing up as a Teresian, I have been
under the supervision of perhaps the best set of teachers.
I hope to successfully discharge all my duties as the
school captain for this academic session. I have no doubt
that by the end of this year, we shall conquer unexplored
heights and futher our vision of Teresian glory together.
In the end I take an oath to serve my school to the best of
my ability. Today I can hear of words of Niccolo
Machiavelli softly ringing in my ears "It is not titles that
honour men but men that honour titles".

It is my privilege to be appointed as the School Captain of
St. Teresa’s Day School & College, Lucknow for the
academic year 2018-19.
I would like to express my gratitude towards the people who
have made this possible.
I would like to thank our Principal Mr. Peter Fanthome (Jr.)
who has been a paragon of hard work and intelligence. And
would like to thank our teachers for their guidance, wisdom,
support, timely help and for turning our dreams and
aspirations into reality.
The things that we have gained from this institution are
priceless and it will be impossible for us to pay even a
fraction of it back, but now, we have been given opportunity
to see to it that the name of our School remains untouched
and to follow the path emblazoned by our predecessors.
I am really looking forward to start my work not with the
office bearers, but all Teresians.
In the end, I would like to say to my team that we need to
step forward, hard work and bring about a change for the
betterment of not only the college but also our nation.
I assure you that I will do my duties to the best of my ability
and will walk beside you in every situation.
